Qualifications Many children go on to become nationally qualified ski instructors and coaches through Sharks Ski Club.

Details are posted on the clubhouse walls and further details can be found at the UK Snowsports or Snowsport England websites.

Those wishing to teach on snow need to consider taking one of the courses offered by BASI or other national ski associations, and many do this as part of a Gap Year.

Awards The club recognises the achievements and performance of its skiers through a number of awards.

Each month we recognise the most improved beginners through the Whales / Tigers Skier of the Month Award.

Each April we award two Freestyle Rider of the Year Awards.  The novice award goes to the rider with the best results in their first competitive season while the main award goes to a rider who is competing internationally and has not previously won the award.

At Christmas each year we award the Skier of the Year Awards to a Racer.
